Some traders have asked why the 8 EMA (Exponential Moving Average) line that's on Dave's hourly chart doesn't move, even though other EMAs move around. The reason is because the line that Dave's putting on his hourly chart to mark the position of the daily 8 EMA is just a horizontal line. That is, it's not an indicator, like other EMAs or SMAs. Dave just places the horizontal line wherever the current daily 8 EMA value is at, and then manually updates it when he needs it.
