When you see a red or green trigger dot that isn't preceded by a pending dot, we call that an "unannounced" triggered bull or bear flag. This occurs because the indicator's Chop Filter is preventing the setup dots from being displayed, and when the triggered flag exceeds the filter limitations, the triggered dot appears.
For this to happen, price must trigger and move beyond the filter price, so it's already potentially moved quite a bit by the time we see the signal. Since we don't want to chase any trades, we typically ignore these types of setups.
If you would prefer to trade these types of setups, you can disable the chop filter by setting the input Breakout_Enforced to FALSE, so that all Bull and Bear Flag signals are displayed. You can then do your own determination of whether a flag is in a choppy sideways pattern and ignore them manually.
