While we don't have closed captioning on all of our courses and videos at the current time, there's a workaround that you can use to automatically create closed captions for ANY spoken text that your computer's microphone can hear. It's not perfect and will make quite a few mistakes in its voice-to-text translation, especially since a lot of our words are unusual trading-related jargon, but it could help those who need some assistance in hearing what's being said.
This does require you to have a microphone and speakers connected to your computer, and ideally an extra screen, so you watch the live transcription and the video at the same time. The approach utilizes Google docs' Voice Typing feature, and effectively acts as if the video were speaking to Google Docs' live transcription feature.
The following video shows how to use this technique on a PC using the freely available google docs. You may also be able to do something like this using an app on your smartphone. For example, Some Android phones have a feature called Live Transcribe, intended to translate spoken word, displayed right on your phone. This could be helpful when trying to hear spoken word when you're away from your PC, such as at a live event, a movie, etc.
Again, this technique will work on any spoken text, so it can be used to see the spoken text in courses, in live trading rooms, etc.
Click on the "X" in the bottom right of the video to enlarge the video to full screen for easier reading of the closed captioning it contains.
