How can I make candlestick chart wicks easier to see in TradeStation?

You can make the wicks easier to see in TradeStation.  This example uses TradeStation 9.5, but should easily translate to TradeStation 10.0 as well.

To do this, open a Candlestick chart, and then choose Format Symbol.  With Bar type set to Candlestick or Candlestick with Trend, under Bar Components, choose Wick, and then set the Wick's color to white, as shown in the following image.  If you're using a white background, choose a contrast color that will make it stand out more, such as black.  You can optionally increase the width of the wick lines to make them easier to see by adjusting the Weight setting to a bigger width.  Depending on the symbol, the color and weight of both the candles during and outside of regular market hours can be adjusted.

Note that if you want to make this change the default for your charts, select the Set as Default option once you've configured the chart to be easier to see.
