Finding past alerts for any of the live trading rooms in the PTR app

If you're using the Pro Trading Room (PTR) app on your phone, you may find that you receive alerts for all of the rooms you select, but when checking the history, you can't find an alert that you just got notified about.  Here's how to find any past alert you received, regardless of which room it came from.

The PTR app allows you to enable receipt of alerts from any of Base Camp Trading's Live Trading Rooms.  To get the alerts on the PTR app, you must check the box for each room from which you want to receive alerts.  In the following image, the Rooms button at the bottom of the app has been clicked, showing the available rooms.  The blue check mark before each room's Show Alerts? option indicates that we want to be informed about alerts for that room.  If you don't see all the rooms, click the blue SYNCH ALL AVAILABLE ROOMS button at the bottom of the display.  In the image below, the app is set to receive alerts from all 4 rooms.  Once you've enabled receipt of alerts for the rooms, you will start to receive notifications from the app whenever an alert is posted to a subscribed room.

While alerts will then come in from all rooms, the history of the alerts is limited to one room at a time.  If you are looking at the history of Thomas' room using the Alerts button (shown at the bottom left of the image above), and an alert from Dave's room comes in, you'll receive a pop-up notification of the alert, but it won't show up in the history of Thomas' room alerts.  In order to see Dave's room alerts, we need to switch to Dave's room's alert history.

To select which room's alert history to view, use the circled bell icon at the top.  The red arrow outline in the following image points to this icon, which is a bit small and challenging to see on smaller phones.

Once this circled bell icon is selected, you'll see a list of rooms appear at the bottom of the display.  Each of the subscribed rooms is shown, and just one has a checkmark in front of it.  In this example, where this section has been outlined in red in this image, Thomas's room has a checkmark, so we only view the alert history of his room.   To see the alert history of Dave's room, we must switch the selection to show Dave's room history.  To do this, click on the - sign in front of Dave's room, selecting his alert history.  The checkbox will move to Dave's room, and the display will update and show the alert history of Dave's room.  

At the time this article was created, only one room could be selected at a time, so you'll need to switch between rooms to see the alert history from each room. We've asked the Pro Trading Room teams to see if we can encourage some changes to make these settings more obvious and possibly allow more than one room's history to be shown at once. We'll update this article if that change occurs.
