How to install BCT indicators in TradeStation 10

Download the TradeStation indicator from the BCT Indicators download page.  Remember where you saved the file for the next steps.

You can either double-click on the ELD file, and it should launch your current version of TradeStation and walk you through the process (continue with Part 2 below), or follow the instructions to import it from within TradeStation (Part 1): 

Part 1

Launch your TradeStation 10.0 platform, Select “File” menu

Select Import/Export EasyLanguage…

Select Import EasyLanguage file (ELD, ELS or ELA) 

On the next screen, click Browse and locate the  ELD file wherever you saved it.

Once found, select the ELD file you downloaded from the BCT website and click OPEN. Continue with Part 2

Part 2

Continue by hitting NEXT.

When a replace confirmation prompt pops-up. Select YES TO ALL.

A reminder will pop up. Select OK to proceed for import. 

Select OK to complete the installation.   You can now use the indicator in your charts.

Adding the indicator to your chart

In TradeStation 10, indicators are known as "studies" rather than indicators.  The process is similar to 9.5, though the naming is different.  In TradeStation 10, instead of Insert/Analysis Technique, you use Studies / Add Study... as shown in the image, below.  Notice that the menu is located at the top of the chart rather than on the desktop window.  There is more than one way to do most things in TradeStation.  Right-clicking on the background of a chart brings up the Add Study... menu if you don't see the menu choices at the top of your chart.
