If you're new to Base Camp Trading, you may be wondering where to get started with setting up your charts, and which indicators to get first.
A good starting indicator is to get MQ Momentum or MQ SuperMomentum, as we use one of those indicators on pretty much every chart we use.
Perhaps the best way to decide what other indicators are needed is to get an idea of which type of trading you want to do. That's because you may find some indicators essential for a specific strategy. Some strategies, such as Dave's Impulse Trading System, have very specific indicators that are used as part of the strategy - both indicators alrelady available on most platforms, such as moving averages, as well as proprietary BCT indicators. So watch the room hosts to see what indicator's they're using as they execute trades in the room.
For those in Dave's Trading Room, Dave offers a "Learning Path" guide within the Files area in his Live Trading room. That PDF file (e.g. Daves Learning Path v11.2023.pdf), contains a list of courses and indicators that are beneficial for the various approaches he uses. You can find that file under the Files tab int the room, by clicking on FIles button in the room that's shown in the upper right of the following image:
If you'd like to purchase a number of indicators at once, you can reach out to our support team at support@basecamptrading.com and ask if you can create a bundle of indicators at a discount. Our team will be happy to help create a package price for you.
And if you're looking for help in setting up your charts, Platinum Members will find a Setting Up Your Charts Course already provided in their courses, where one of our instructors goes over some chart setups and features of several of our most popular platforms. Just look under the Courses button to find it, and then select the video that you'd like to view from the offered selections.
