Steps to remove / reinstall MQ Momentum after updating NinjaTrader 8 64-bit to 8.0.27.1
- Download the latest version of MQ Momentum from the BaseCampTrading.com website if you don't already have it. You'll need your machine id from NinjaTrader to complete the download. You'll want to have the file MQMomentum.zip and know where it's located.
- Close NinjaTrader
- Open a File Explorer window to go to the following directory in your Documents or My Documents folder: NinjaTrader 8 / bin / Custom
e.g., if your login name is John, you may find it at C:\Users\John\Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom - Remove two files from the Custom directory: MQMomentum.cs and MQMomentum.dll
- Restart NinjaTrader 8
- From NinjaTrader's Control Panel, use Tools / Import / NinjaScript Add-on and import the MQMomentum.zip file you downloaded or found in step 1. Confirm that it installed with no errors.
- Restart NinjaTrader 8
- Confirm that you have regained access to the items that had disappeared since the upgrade.
