What is an Intensive?

If you're looking for something that's going to accelerate your learning, this is how many of our students turn the corner to being profitable in their trading. 

Intensives are the premier training offerings provided by Base Camp Trading.  Intensive are typically focused on a specific aspect of trading, for example, Momentum Trading, EGOS (Explosive Growth Options and Stocks), 11-Hour Options, etc.  The MIST intensive covers several strategies. 

The format of an intensive is usually a series of small-group sessions - meetings using GoToWebinar.  The instructor has planned materials that go into much greater depth than what can be covered in the live trading rooms.  They are intended to give a much more comprehensive coverage of the topic, to provide a greater foundation in that aspect of trading. 

Some intensives are held once a week over several weeks, while others are once a day over the course of a week, which is the fastest way to get up to speed on a strategy.  Some intensives also include special additional sessions where the materials taught in the learning sessions are used in live afternoon market sessions.  Dave's intensives often follow this format.  Ask for details about the format used for each intensive to learn what's included in the intensive you're interested in.

The small group format of an Intensive allows for students to have greater interaction with the instructor, including the ability to ask questions within the course.  In addition to using chat, students can often raise their virtual hand, and the instructor can allow them to ask their question using their own mic.  This allows immediate two-way voice interaction between the instructor and student, which is extremely helpful in clarifying various aspects of what's being taught.  Other students will hear these interactions and benefit from them as well.  This live interaction is one of the key benefits to the intensives, and is usually the only way to have one-on-one coaching with our lead instructors.

Students are also encouraged to email detailed screenshots of trades they have taken to be reviewed in the live session, where the instructor critiques what went well and what could be improved in the example. These are valuable learning opportunities for both the student that submits the examples as well as for the other students.

Intensives are recorded, and the recordings are provided to the students, so they can be replayed as many times as desired.  Intensive content is typically deep, so having the ability to replay the sessions repeatedly can reinforce learning many times over.  The more you learn, the more you'll understand the concepts covered in the training, so we encourage students to replay them many times, and treat them as valuable learning opportunities for years to come as their watched again and again.
